DIOCESAN BIBLICAL CATECHETICAL AND LITURGICAL CENTRE (DBCLC) DBCLC is the Trichur Archdiocesan Institute situated within the northern corner of the Archbishop’s House Compound at the Bishop Palace Road near the East Fort, Thrissur and houses different departments mainly dedicated for the formation of the lay faithful from childhood to adults in ecclesiastical life, catholic education and leadership training. DBCLC is the seat of the Archdiocesan Department of Catechism, Archdiocesan Children’s Ministry, Excel Academy, Institute of Theology, Institute for Lay Leadership Training, Mar Medlycott Archdiocesan Library, Catechetical Religious Stall and DBCLC Publications. It also has a well furnished and centrally Air Conditioned Auditorium with thousand seating capacity, Small Halls, Class Rooms and living Rooms available for public. Archdiocesan Department of Catechism undertakes the catechetical and moral education of the catholic and other students in the parishes and catholic schools. concentrates on the spiritual formation of the catechism students of the parishes and organizes the activities of various pious associations for children. Excel Academy has the goal to form the catholic students in career and profession equipping them to appear competitive exams and garner job opportunities in civil and private enterprises of reputation. Institute of Theology, which is affiliated to both Catholic Luvein University, Belgium and Christian Chair of the Calicut University in Kerala, undertakes theological education of adult laity and catechists. Institute for Lay Leadership Training is dedicated for the leadership formation of the lay people in the ecclesiastical life and for the talent development of the young generation. Mar Medlycott Archdiocesan Library houses rich collection of books in various ancient and modern European, Middle Eastern and Indian Languages. Catechetical Religious Stall is working here with a view to provide with the religious Articles and Books for the public. It also has a Text book Division meant for the students of Catechism, Theology and Moral Science. DBCLC Publications is a publishing House mainly publishing the Liturgical Books for the Archdiocese, Text books for Catechism and other publications for the use of the parishes and students.
